Katja Schulz

EOL content hunter & gatherer

About me

I am part of the EOL Species Pages Group at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. My job is focused on helping EOL acquire and manage content about organisms. Before joining EOL in 2009, I was the managing editor and technical designer for the Tree of Life Web Project.

I have a Ph. D. in Entomology from the University of Arizona, and I love bugs, but I also have a strong interest in fungi, and I can get excited about just about any group of organisms from frogs and birds to squid, epiphytes, and dinoflagellates.

Check out my observations on iNaturalist and my photostream on flickr. Join iNaturalist or our flickr group to upload your own images to EOL.
